As we inch toward the end of the summer, we’re looking back—and ahead—to the Teamwork product updates and enhancements that make a difference in your work. Whether you’re counting down the days till you create that first Custom Report (as are we!), or trying out a new Custom Field on for size, start getting excited about what’s on the horizon to help you do better work for your clients.

Drill down into the information that matters most with Custom Reporting

Get ready for more robust reporting options with the rollout of Custom Reporting, coming soon to Teamwork! If you want to do a more in-depth dive into specific projects, users, tasks, or milestones, Custom Reports offer a flexible approach for tailor-made reports that are unique to your needs.

Plus, pretty much everything about Custom Reports can be, well, customized to pinpoint exactly what you’re looking for, from the title to filters to permissions.

Much more information is coming your way soon once this game-changing feature is released, so stay tuned! (Note that custom reports will be available to Scale users only, so reach out to us to find out how you can get in on the custom reports magic!)

Take control of your profitability with Task List Budgets

Another major feature we’re excited to introduce in the coming weeks: Task List Budgets, which enable you to break down your project’s budget at a more granular level. Ultimately, this gives more control and insight as a project progresses.

By having this level of budget oversight at the Task List level, you’ll be able to get actionable insights and a detailed handle on your financial progress and performance through various stages and milestones of your project.

This Scale-only feature will be launching soon, so again, keep your eyes out for more details about this release in the coming days.

Curate your most important Teamwork updates within Inbox

Picture it: a new go-to spot that houses all of your most essential Teamwork-related updates, bringing more focus and clarity into your workday.

Enter Teamwork’s new Inbox—coming soon to your account—which does just that and more! Within “My Work,” you’ll soon notice the new Inbox that includes:

  • A sleek list view that’s easy to navigate

  • A helpful preview pane that shows all the most relevant context

  • The ability to archive messages, surfacing your most important information and eliminating needless clutter

Get ready to cut out the extra noise with this forthcoming feature—a more organized, structured Inbox is in your near future.

Introducing new custom fields to improve your work flexibility

More than anything, we want Teamwork to mirror the way you work. That’s why we’ve introduced four new custom fields to add your own unique data to tasks. Say hello to the date, status, URL, and checkbox custom fields, which join our roster of other field types to bring more flexibility into your Teamwork workflows.

Bonus tip: Taking advantage of these four custom fields becomes all the more powerful when used in conjunction with Table View, where you can create your own customized view of your tasks and custom fields.

And that’s not all…

We’ve got three more exciting updates to squeeze in:

  • With our newest Automation trigger, you can set up Automations to be triggered when logging time to a task. Regardless of whether you're adding or changing the logged time on a task, you can set up the Automation to add a comment, notify a PM, add a tag, or even add another task or subtask.

  • For Desk users, you can now get more insights into deleted tickets when viewing an individual ticket's details. Whether you want to know who deleted a ticket, or who restored it and when, these enhanced ticket details give you more visibility into your overall Desk activity.

  • Jump to it! The benefits of our new and improved layout just keep coming with the rollout of the new “Jump to” button. Now you’ll be able to go straight to your Project List View with a single click using the “Projects” button, while still having access to your most recent activity with the handy new “Jump to” button. Who said you couldn’t have the best of both worlds?
