During Teamwork Spaces 12 Days of Christmas, we'll be sharing tips, best practices, use cases, and releasing new features to help you get the most out of Teamwork Spaces.
On the 5th day of Teamwork Spaces Christmas, we're going to show you 5 ways to integrate Teamwork Spaces with Teamwork and Teamwork Chat to help you save time and improve team collaboration.
1. Linking a project to a space
The first way that you can improve cross-product efficiency is by linking a project to a space. You can link a space to a project really easily from inside Teamwork Spaces, ensuring you are ever only one click away from all of your project, client and team documentation. When you’ve successfully linked a project to a space you will see a link in Teamwork - inside your project at the bottom of the left-hand sidebar, under the heading Project Spaces.

This link saves you time moving from your project to your space so you can quickly find the information and documentation in Teamwork Spaces.
For a step-by-step guide on how to link a project to a space, please see our helpdocs here.
2. Teamwork - project task list
The second way to improve cross-product efficiency is to add a Teamwork project task list into your Teamwork Spaces page. You can do this from the dropdown in the toolbar list, as shown below, select the project that you want to include the tasks from, and your Teamwork project task list will appear within your page. This is a great way to manage your tasks directly from a Teamwork Spaces page.

By inserting the task list directly into your page, you can record meeting actions as task list items so you don’t need to update your project in Teamwork later.

3. Creating tasks within a page
To create a task from inside your page, simply insert your Teamwork task list from the toolbar dropdown, as shown above, select the project that you want to include the tasks from, and then your Teamwork project task list will populate.
Once your Teamwork project task list has been added, navigate to the bottom of the task list where you will see a 'Add a task' button.

To add a new task simply click the 'Add a task' button and type the description of the task that you would like to include. Finally, click 'Create' to create your new task.

4. Editing tasks within a page
Often you need to edit the content of a task after creating it. Once you have created your tasks it's really easy to edit them. You can easily access full edit options for each task by clicking the task name in the list. This will open a quick view panel where you can hover to see the edit pencil and other quick edit options, similar to Teamwork.

Hovering over the task in the task details view will reveal the edit pencil and additional options dropdown. You will also see the individual quick edit options for the task such as subtasks, time, and priority.
5. Embedded chat
Embedding Teamwork Chat is a great way to collaborate with your team, without having to navigate away from your work. If you are using the collaborating editing capability in the Teamwork Spaces to create content, it is really useful to be able to talk with your team at the same time. This can save you a lot of time creating the right document, process or diagram by making sure both you and your team are aligned.
Once you have enabled your Teamwork Chat subscription, you will see the Teamwork Chat icon on the top right of your navigation bar.

Selecting the Teamwork Chat icon will open a list view of your conversations and channels in the bottom right of your Spaces site. Simply click on the relevant conversation and immediately start collaborating with your teammates.
