More and more companies are realizing the time-savings and workflow efficiency they can gain by integrating the apps in their tech stack. At Teamwork, we know how important integrations are, so we’ve built a suite of products that are designed to work together from the get-go. Unfortunately, not all apps natively integrate with one another so easily, leading to disjointed workflows and a lot of time wasted switching between multiple apps to make manual updates. Using the new Integromat integration, you can connect Teamwork and Teamwork Desk with hundreds of other apps to automate your workflows.
What is Integromat?
If you’re new to Integromat, you can think of it like the glue that connects different apps together to transfer data and automate tasks in your workflow. It’s free, simple to use and you don’t need to write a single line of code to integrate multiple apps. It works by combining Triggers like “Watch projects”, Actions like “Create a task list”, and Searches like “List categories” that work together from Integromat to create scenarios that automate your processes.
Integromat and Teamwork
When you’re using the Integromat and Teamwork integration to connect Teamwork with the apps in your tech stack, there’s a huge choice of Triggers, Actions, and Searches for you to choose from so you can build a number of different types of integrations, from the very basic to the very complex. For example, here’s how you can set up an integration that sends a Slack message to a specific channel (or user) whenever a new task is created in Teamwork:
Select the “Watch tasks” Trigger in Teamwork and the “Create a message” Action in Slack— just like in this template.
Once the modules are selected, all you need to do is set up the parameters (selecting the tasks to watch, selecting the recipient, choosing watch/send frequencies). That’s it!

This type of integration can be used for situations when you need to set up a backup notification system for created tasks or to keep non-team members or upper management notified of certain tasks. You can build your own custom workflows, but there are also a number of pre-built integration templates that solve common problems to help you get started even more quickly.
Integromat and Teamwork Desk
The Integromat and Teamwork Desk integration gives you 30 different types of Triggers, like “Watch events”, Actions “Create ticket”, and Searches “List searches”, to help you automate your customer support processes in a number of different ways. Think of something as simple (and as complex) as communicating with customers through email. With Teamwork Desk, you can ensure that messages are no longer stuck in siloed inboxes and aren’t left unanswered. But what if someone contacts you on an email address that isn’t associated with a Teamwork Desk inbox, such as your personal address? Using Integromat, you can automatically create a new ticket in Teamwork Desk when you receive a new email in your Gmail account. Not only that, but the integration searches your list of customers and if the email comes from an existing customer, the ticket created is associated with them — or if they’re a new customer, a new contact is automatically added to Teamwork Desk. Check out this template to get started with this workflow.

You can further customize this workflow by establishing parameters, such as which kind of emails should be transformed into tickets, and which shouldn’t, or by automating the assignment of tickets to specific receivers.
