Teamwork.com June 2026 updates — Summary + key takeaways:
Just in time for summer, we're rolling out a brand new look and feel—shaped by your feedback—alongside some helpful updates to the way you plan, quote, and manage work. Whether it's building out project plans before staffing is confirmed, locking in exchange rates that match your finance team, or a cleaner Task Details experience on the horizon, this month's releases are all about giving you more control and less noise. Let's dig in!
A fresh look has come to Teamwork.com
You asked, we listened—and then we built! The biggest visual update to Teamwork.com in years is here, arriving just in time for summer. The new look and feel is more than a coat of paint: it's a fully rethought workspace built around how you actually use the platform.
)
Here are a few quick highlights (and be sure to check out the full rundown of what’s new to get a better idea of what’s new and improved):
Navigation is now customizable, so the things you reach for most are always within arm's reach.
The workspace itself is cleaner and more focused, helping you get into flow without the noise.
“Jump to” has been streamlined so moving around the platform is faster than ever.
And lots of small but noticeable improvements. This one was shaped by your feedback, and we hope it shows.

Plan before assignments are finalized by assigning tasks to Roles
Project planning shouldn't have to wait on a staffing decision. With role-based task assignment, you can now build a complete project plan before the names are finalized.
)
Simply assign a task to a Role—Designer, Developer, Account Manager—and the structure of your project stays intact even while resourcing is still being worked out. It's a game-changer for teams that plan ahead of confirmed headcount, pitch work before a team is locked in, or want to define the type of talent needed before the person is assigned.
When the hire is finally made or the contractor confirmed, all you have to do is update the assignment—the plan was ready all along. And now you don’t have to hold everything up while waiting on one piece of the puzzle.
Alongside this, we’re gradually phasing out the Choose Later option. Roles are simply the better, more flexible way to plan work before resourcing decisions are made, and they do everything Choose Later did with more structure and consistency built in. During the transition, Task List Templates will also get a glow-up, revealing a cleaner UI, faster performance, and more consistency with the rest of Teamwork.com. When Choose Later is fully retired, any existing placeholders will be automatically converted to a Role, and you'll receive migration guidance well before that happens.

Create Quotes faster and stay in control with 3 new updates
Getting quotes out the door faster—and looking more professional when you do—just got a lot easier. Three new Quotes improvements land this month, each targeting a different pain point in the quoting process.
Templates let you standardize your approach across the whole company, cutting out the time-consuming, repetitive setup work and making sure every quote starts from a consistent baseline.
)
Global Board View gives you a full picture of your quotes pipeline in one place — no more digging through individual client records to figure out where things stand.
Preview customization means you decide what clients see and how they see it, so your quotes are shaped around what actually matters.
Three cheers for faster quotes, more consistency, and a better client experience all around!

Introducing Custom Exchange Rates for multi-currency projects
When project budgets, invoices, and forecasts all ride on a rate that shifts every single day, your numbers never quite sit still. And when finance has their own approved rates, the gap between what your projects show and what accounting expects can become a real headache.
Thankfully, Custom Exchange Rates closes that gap. You can now set your own exchange rate values directly in Teamwork.com by currency and date range so your financial data stays aligned with your finance team's practices, instead of wherever the market landed this morning.
)
Lock in a rate for a reporting period, a client engagement, or a full quarter. Teamwork.com will use your custom rate where it applies and fall back to live market rates where it doesn't. And those market rates are always visible for reference, so you keep the transparency without losing the control.
Ultimately, that means more stable reporting, more predictable numbers, and a lot less back-and-forth with finance.

3 quality of life improvements
Notification filters We all know how overwhelming too many notifications can be, as well as the tedious task of trying to find the notifications that actually need your attention. Now you can cut through the notification noise so you only get alerted based on what you choose in Teamwork.com.
)
That means being able to pick which projects, people, and events (and in what specific contexts) you get pinged about. This brand new filter menu is now available right from within the notifications bell.
Private Forms With this update, we’re giving you more control over who can access and submit Forms. They can now be marked as private, meaning only logged-in Teamwork.com users can access them.
)
When Private is enabled, additional options are available to restrict the form to project users and create tasks on behalf of the logged-in submitter. Forms can now also reflect who actually submitted them, with tasks created from submissions coming from the logged-in submitter, so there's always clear ownership and accountability for submitted work.
Color coding time entries A quick win for users of My Timesheet, giving you more options to view your time entries.
)
When you head to My timesheet -> Calendar, you're now able to view two additional options in the dropdown menu, further helping you review, manage, and log time:
Color by project
Show project breakdown
A streamlined Task Details experience is coming, shaped by your feedback
Task Details is one of the most-used areas of Teamwork.com—and if it's ever felt a little busy or a little overwhelming, we’re here to help. In fact, it's exactly what's driving the refreshed Task Details experience, coming soon.
)
The core functionality you rely on isn't going anywhere. Instead, what's changing is how it all feels. Cleaner layouts, better spacing, improved information hierarchy, and smarter expand-and-collapse controls mean less cognitive load and more focus on the work that actually matters.
For starters, Stacked View is being retired in favor of two distinct, consistent views (Comments and Details) which also align more naturally with Quick View, making it easier to move between the two without losing context. Plus, a new dedicated sidebar in Details View even surfaces time insights like logged time, estimates, and subtask rollups without ever leaving the task.
We’re not quite live yet, but we want to make sure you have plenty of time to prepare for these changes and understand why we’re making them.

Sign up for early access for email comments in Teamwork Desk
For those who need to loop clients into tasks without adding them as users into Teamwork. Email your clients directly from a task to unblock work and keep things running smoothly.
Getting clients to collaborate on work has always come with friction. They don't want to learn a new platform, and you might have concerns about adding them directly into Teamwork Desk.
Email comments in Teamwork Desk are here to fix that. Soon, you'll be able to connect your own email address and send messages to clients directly from the comments area of a ticket, all without requiring them to log in.
When clients reply to your email, their response threads straight back into Teamwork Desk, keeping everything in one place. And because it sends from your email address rather than a generic application address, it feels like a natural conversation for your client from the very first message.
Early access is opening soon—sign up here to be first in line.
