We're starting 2026 up and running with a fresh slate of product updates. This month's roundup includes a long-awaited Timeline view, clearer planning capabilities across the platform, and new visibility enhancements to Desk. Let's get to it!
Meet your new favorite view—Timeline!
That's right, Timeline is here, bringing a modern, intuitive alternative to Gantt that brings visual clarity and conciseness to planning big projects. Timeline gives your team an instant, at-a-glance view of how work unfolds over time, showing tasks, milestones, and dependencies in one clear, connected timeline.
)
Need to make changes? Just drag and resize tasks to shift dates in seconds. Zoom and pan smoothly across even the largest projects, and rely on real-time syncing with all other Teamwork.com task views so everything stays aligned. Oh, and inline task details, filtering, and search keep things focused, with automatic dependency shifting to handle any off-the-cuff changes you may run into.
Timeline is built for teams who want clarity, speed, and confidence when planning work. If that sounds like you, head over to your projects and give it a whirl!

Outlook syncing has come to Planning views
Not to be outdone by its Google counterpart, Outlook calendar sync is now available in the Planning tab. You can sync Outlook events directly into Teamwork.com, bringing real-world commitments and project work together in one clear, integrated view.
)
With Outlook events included in Planning views, there’s no more calendar hopping or guesswork. External meetings and commitments are factored into availability calculations across the Workload Planner, Resource Scheduler, Utilization Reports, and Custom User Reports. That means what you see reflects how available people actually are—how about that?
That added visibility makes forecasting and scheduling far more reliable. You can avoid double-booking, prevent over-allocation, and plan work with confidence, knowing you're working with real availability (not just assumptions).
For resource managers and project planners alike, this means better decisions, more accurate plans, and happier teams thanks to data that reflects your team's reality.

Better planning + financial visibility = Role Rates
Get excited about the release of Role Rates, which make it easier to manage pricing when multiple people do similar work. Instead of juggling individual rates, you can now set a shared billable rate for each role—like Designer, Engineer, or Copywriter—and apply it consistently across users and projects, even in multi-currency setups.
)
Need flexibility? You’ve got it. You can now choose the rate type that fits each situation the best: individual rates, role rates, or project rates. Not to mention once you update a role’s rate, it automatically rolls out everywhere it’s used—saving time, reducing manual updates, and keeping billing accurate every time.

Get better alignment and visibility with these Teamwork Desk updates
Two new improvements to Teamwork Desk go beyond simple quality-of-life improvements to give you clearer visibility into important information that drives your customers' queries.
We’ve expanded SLA agreements beyond first response times to give you clearer visibility into what really matters—resolving tickets on time.
)
You can now set resolution time targets, decide what should happen when a ticket is resolved without a first reply, and override first response requirements when they don’t apply. We’ve also added email notifications alongside existing in-app alerts, so important SLA moments don’t get missed.
The result? More accurate tracking, better accountability, and SLAs that reflect how your support team actually works.
Available on Desk Premium and Enterprise plans.
Plus, you can now add a direct link from a Desk inbox to one or more projects, ensuring incoming tickets are always associated with the right place. This removes repetitive setup work and keeps support and project teams aligned from the moment a ticket arrives.
Inbox admins can configure project links, tickets will appear in the selected projects’ Tickets tab, and multiple projects can be connected to a single inbox, making it perfect for shared or cross-functional support queues.
