Trello is great for light touch project management. But sometimes, you need your project management tool to work harder for you without the need for add-ons or integrations.

Teamwork can easily adapt to how you work by offering you the flexibility to work the way you want, whether that’s with visual boards, task lists or even Gantt charts — you can organize your workflows however you want. Teamwork provides you with an end-to-end solution to manage your projects. It lets you work your way, so you can focus on the important stuff: delivering results.

I like the fact we can all access it everywhere – not only to keep on top of my own workload but to see what the rest of the team is doing. The integration with other apps and files is fantastic and it makes billing (and client reporting) really easy.

The top reasons why companies use
Teamwork vs Trello:

Everything you need to consider when comparing Teamwork and Trello.

Different project views with Teamwork Projects

More project flexibility

Trello only give you one view in which to interact with your projects; board view. This is a visual representation of your workflow. Teamwork allows you to work how you want with various ways to view your work. Whether you prefer board views, list views, or project portfolios, we provide the options you need so you can work your way.

See the metrics that matter

Trello offers no reporting options and users must rely on integrations to see the metrics that matter to their project. Generating even a basic weekly report becomes time consuming and tricky for new users. Teamwork offers robust reporting features to ensure you’re kept in the loop on all aspects of your team and projects.

Tracking time of Project with Teamwork Projects

Keep track of time

There’s no way to track time in Trello without using third-party integrations. Teamwork offers inbuilt time tracking on all tasks, as well as a standalone time tracking app to help you log exactly where you’re spending your time.

Visualize your projects

Trello don’t provide Gantt charts. Gantt charts provide a graphical “timeline” representation of your project. This is a core feature when you want to ensure that you have full visibility into your work and deadlines. Without it, you have reduced visibility over your tasks’ progress. Teamwork offer a Gantt chart to ensure you can maintain the visibility you need across all your projects.

Enough structure to encourage good project management practices

Philip Tarrant, Director of Informatics and Technology, Arizona State University

On that spectrum of project management products with collaboration tools at one end and products for managing large enterprise projects at the other, this product fits somewhere in the middle. It has more structure than products like Asana or Trello (we have used both of these), but is still very flexible, allowing you to organize your projects and tasks using categories, portfolios and tags. Powerful filtering extracts the specific tasks you need for reporting purposes. Milestones, estimates, risks, comments and other features allow you to keep everything in one place, if you wish to. The API allows us to submit tagged client requests directly into the product, which is very useful.

Comments (Benefits)

Our overall experience is very positive. We have used it on website design and development and web application projects. In both cases team members are documenting and managing their work more effectively.
