What's New in Teamwork Q3
It's that time again! We've put together a roundup of the features released during Q3 2021 to refresh your memory. We hope you've enjoyed the new features released last quarter and as always, we’d love to hear your feedback. You can contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
We overhauled the existing projects list view
Firstly, we went and overhauled the existing projects list view in Teamwork and also added some new functionalities. You still have all of the functionality that was previously there, such as your dropdown menu for active archived work, starred products, and grouping by company.
And now users have a default view that includes Project, Owner, Company, Start Date, End Date, Tags, Budget, and Latest Activity. This allows you to easily manage all of your projects by ensuring your key information is on one screen.
You can also customize your view. All columns are sorted and adjustable so you can portray the date that is most relevant to your project. Learn more.
We were delighted to release the No. 1 requested feature for Intake Forms – attachments! With attachments, you can easily include screen captures and documents to provide context for your work requests by adding them as an attachment to the Intake Form.
Users can upload files when you add a file attachment question into your intake form. You can also control how many files can be uploaded, which file type you want your users to upload and set the limit on the size of the file, by using the see more option.
Multiple forms per project
With Intake Forms we also made managing your work requests a whole lot easier! With the new list view, you'll see the forms you've created, which are accepting responses, and how many responses you have for each.
Within the more Options menu, copy existing forms from one project to another, or from inside the same project, saving you time. Learn more.
User Rates: Billable and cost rates
We updated User Rates so that you can now apply both billable and cost rates for individual users and clients on your site. Cost rates can be set at the site level, and billable rates at the site and project level. Checkout this functionality here.
This new feature allows you to easily set or update rates on a per-project or cross-project basis. Last but not least, you can also set a default project billable rate across all your billable resources on a project.
Manage Teamwork right within Microsoft Office
Our new-and-improved Microsoft Add-In allows you to make the most out of your Microsoft apps! Version 2 of this integration seamlessly syncs your Microsoft apps with Teamwork.
Bug reporting and client feedback in Teamwork
We introduced Teamwork’s integration with Marker.io, which means users can report bugs and send feedback into Teamwork projects without ever leaving their website. Holly Bracken, our Partnerships manager at Teamwork, goes through this feature in depth over here!
Dedicated Project Channels: Sync your Slack channel and Teamwork projects
We brought you Dedicated Project Channels, which bridges the gap between your team’s Slack channel and your Teamwork projects. You can receive real-time live updates on your Teamwork tasks from directly within your Slack channel.
Respond to new tasks within seconds of receiving them via Slack, which helps you to stay focused on tasks. Lastly, we added Slash Commands. Check out this functionality here.
We made some exciting updates to our Mobile apps - Welcome to the Dark Side
We brought a beautiful new dark mode to the iOS Teamwork app. It was designed to reduce eye strain. There's no configuration necessary, simply turn on the dark mode on your phone to enjoy this new dark mode!
For all our Android users, we've been working on some great task list improvements to power your workflows, keep an eye out for more updates. If you haven't already downloaded the Teamwork Mobile app, you can find out how here.
We introduced the Events Widget! If you're someone who has a lot of meetings, you'll definitely like this one. With this new feature, you can keep track of your next few events and choose how many you'd like to see. Now, every time you glance at your phone, you'll know exactly what’s next on your schedule.
For our Android users, you have the option for your tasks to be more like desktop. You can view all of your tasks and task lists together on one screen. This option is great for those of you who are used to the desktop view. Learn more.
