The opportunity

  • Own overall packaging, pricing and commercialisation strategy
  • Clearly define Pricing & Packaging strategy informed by systematic methodology of research and analysis, to validate hypotheses, and develop recommendations based on insights.
  • Partner with Product Management to build pricing strategy and proposals for new product launches and existing pricing optimization
  • Collect, aggregate, and analyse data to understand pricing, track competitive trends, and continuously improve our pricing & packaging models
  • Analyse Competitor and Market Performance to inform pricing & packaging
  • Manage Pricing Council, and drive regular reporting on pricing performance
  • Assists Product Management developing growth opportunities through pricing innovation, supported by business case and analysis
  • Analyse bundling and add-on opportunities to maximise ARPA 
  • Forecasting for Product Business around Self-serve & Expansion
  • Support strategic pricing projects to accelerate revenue growth
  • Develop pricing analysis and recommendations for new products, features, services and promotions
  • Own the data and metrics. Be the expert on pricing and packaging data 
  • Build partnerships with Data teams and drive alignment on data hygiene, dashboard reports and analysis.
  • Manage the price book and pricing adjustments with both new product launches and existing portfolio.
  • Consults with senior mgmt, product management, product marketing, marketing, sales operations, sales to optimise pricing proposals
  • Serve as an advisor and partner to Product, Marketing, Product Marketing & Sales in developing pricing strategies across our products

What good looks like

  • Bachelor degree in engineering, business, marketing, finance or similar areas.
  • 3+ years as an Analyst with relevant analysis experience, ideally in Technology, Software or SaaS company
  • Previous experience working with B2B and / or SaaS pricing models preferable
  • Consulting experience is a plus
  • Excellent analytical thinking and problem solving
  • Good financial modelling skills, including cost benefit analysis
  • Flexible and adaptive, able to work across multiple simultaneous projects
  • Team oriented and collaborative approach in working across teams
  • Commercially curious 
  • Confidence dealing with less-than-perfect data (e.g., cleaning, fusing, extrapolating)
  • Strong requirements gathering and prioritisation skills
  • Be able to say “no,” and explain why in terms that stakeholders understand based on analysis, data, and business objectives
  • Strong collaboration skill – able to influence others across multiple functional teams.
  • High attention to detail, action oriented, ability to work within stringent deadlines.
  • Ability to work effectively with senior management as well as across disciplines
