Logic Replace is a complete web software and B2B app development firm providing custom-based software solutions and web technology solutions across the globe. Their diverse client base includes representatives from industries including finance, fitness, real estate, health care, art, manufacturing, and more.
Founder Paul Slinger created Logic Replace to help clients overcome their clients’ business weakness stemming from legacy systems, manual processes, and incomplete data. His approach to each client is different, but always uses a well-designed custom solution. Their in-house web technology software developers provide web design in London and the United States.

“One-point decision making, distribution, and monitoring are the best parts of Teamwork Projects. Those tools gave us the information we needed to make better choices for our company each day.”

The Challenges

Since its founding in 2007, Logic Replace has been helping growing companies replace their legacy systems for sales, data collection, and manual inputs with custom apps and eCommerce solutions. At the same time, they also struggled to find better options to replace inefficient project management and communication systems that slowed down their workflows.
As Logic Replace grew, it became more difficult to monitor all of the projects that were in process and assign people as needed. They lacked a central dashboard or reporting tool that provided an overview of upcoming deadlines, progress made, developers assigned to projects, potential bottlenecks, and more.

“It was really tough for us to track workflows effectively when we had several big projects going simultaneously. Our team members needed more direction on which tasks needed priority because of imminent deadlines or dependencies for the next phase of development.”

Project distribution was especially problematic for team leaders and members. Determining when and where to shuffle team members to put more effort into a certain phase of a project–or pull back if the need wasn’t so urgent–was consuming more time.

“Without an accurate snapshot of all of our projects, assigning workloads felt more like guesswork than analysis, and we it didn’t seem like we were getting smarter about making those judgement calls.”

Further complicating the issue was the lack of an effective communication platform. As a small team, email and Skype were adequate, but as the team grew, those tools actually slowed down conversations or made it harder to locate important information when needed. More advanced communication methods were needed to keep people in the loop and turn discussions into clear action items.

The Solution

For Logic Replace, the best part of Teamwork Projects is having a single place that provides all of the necessary information to make accurate decisions about workload distributions. Admins can look at all of the projects in one glance, generate project activity reports, and adjust manpower to compensate for delays or imminent deadlines.
This is especially important due to the way Logic Replace utilizes their team members to build the software, dashboards, customized booking software, and team password sharing tools that the company produces. Some employees are in-house, some work remotely, and others have certain specialities that are needed at pivotal points in the project.

“Depending on the stage of development and complexity, a developer could shift through projects solving the stagnation points. With Teamwork Projects, we can use our developers more economically and efficiently.”

Logic Replace team members are also able to communicate with each other more effectively, since comments and discussions are attached directly to specific tasks within each project. They’re no longer losing time searching for important details or trying loop everyone into conversations. When they need to create a task, they can do that directly from Chat–no more copying and pasting details collected from conversations.

The Benefits

In the five years since Logic Replace has been using Teamwork Projects, they have seen significant costs savings due to better project coordination and management. Team members’ time and skills are utilized with much more precision, resulting in more efficient use of every billable hour.

As remote admins have used reports and dashboards to predict workflows and deadline pressure points, they have been able to refine their staffing decisions. This has resulted in a smaller workforce that is able to work together more effectively. A smaller team has not only reduced salary costs, but also administrative time because managers are spending less time supervising projects, explaining project elements and requirements, and repeating information in order to keep the entire team informed.

“Nearly every efficiency that Teamwork Projects has created has saved our company time or money. All of these little features together reduces our administrative time and allows us to direct more focus toward client feedback, solving client issues, and creating a better business.”
